19 of the Russian's 21 victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback Daniil Medvedev won his initial championship for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former number one, has experienced a difficult season, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and undergoing a setback at the US Open.

Now working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily improved in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested competitive win over opponent Corentin Moutet.

Victory also indicates Medvedev has won 21 championships at twenty-one distinct events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my two daughters together, so to win a championship is really nice," said world number 14 the champion.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my child her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, comprising in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's defensive play style and regular emotional displays on the playing surface had led commentators to question if his capacity to perform at the elite level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to come to the net and perform aggressively, backed up by an improved serving game.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky opponent, securing 4 of the final five points to gain the advantage.
Both players traded breaks in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his initial professional victory, gained dominance to force a decider.
He rescued 4 initial break points in a tight deciding set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to serve for the match.
Suitably, Medvedev earned the title with a point at the front of the court, with the Frenchman failing to control a volley after a lengthy match.
